Dog Stuff to Love #3

Since we've been in Arizona, I have to say that I've been missing the plethora of natural colors Colorado had to offer, brilliant greens, startling blues, shocking oranges... Arizona has brown... and what I like to call "wannabe green". Its a sad, brownish-yellowy color that people who have never left the Valley call green because they don't know any better. I don't hold it against them - Arizona is beautiful in its own special way. The sun sets here are absolutely to die for, and there's just nothing out there that matches the beauty of a long stretch f the Sonoran desert in the winter, and Lake Pleasant is wonderful in the off season when its quiet and there's room to think.
Anyway, this blog is mostly focused on color, which is mostly due to my nostalgia for all things bright, and, what better for a crazy groomer like myself to color on than her dogs?
     So, without further ado,

The Doofy Dog Blog Presents:
Dog Stuff To Love #3

First on my list are the new Pawdicure Pens from Warren London. These are pens filled with a quick drying, nontoxic nail polish formula that goes on butter smooth and dries beautifully, unlike other quick drying polishes. Available through Ryanspet.com, starting at $5.99

Next up on the color scale are Espree's Bark Art blow pens, formulated specially for pet hair. These pens are easy to use and available in a variety of fun colors. They are 100% pet safe and the color lasts through a few washes, but be warned, colors may bleed if your pet gets wet and rubs on your white furniture (but seriously, what sane pet owner has white couches???)! Multipack and individual colors available at Ryanspet.com , six pack of individual colors $5.79 or a 12 count multipack for $11.59.

Feathers have been a big thing in the fashion industry for a while now, and now groomers are putting them in your dogs' hair! This set offers a wide range of colors and comes with 100 crimping beads in your choice of black, cream, or brown, 150 feathets, crimping tool and hair threader. This kit is available from ryanspet.com for $16.20, which is an incredible starter price when compared with other kits. Ryans even has a video to show you how to do it!

Coming out of the color station and moving onto the practical, for those of you who hate going anywhere covered in your dog's fabulous locks, Scotch-Brite makes lint rollers in fun patterns that pick up hair from clothing better than any other lint roller I've ever used. Available at Target.com from $3.99 (or you know, you could just go to the store.)

Introducing the large Kong Quest Star Pod, one of my favorite Kong inventions, sent to us over Solstice by the most rockin' Secret Santa there ever was. This thing is durable beyond all reason, standing up to even Percy The Wonder Dork's pearly whites (which are truthfully more shark like than is even decent.) Its easy to stuff, doesn't give off a weird odor like so many dog toys, and it does everything. It flies like a frisbee, bounces like a ball, rolls like a tire, and for those of us who have to cheat at tug-of-war to even consider winning (who, me? I would never...) the rings around the outside are easy to slip a finger or two into to create the perfect cheaterhold. Available at ryanspet.com from 7.39

Another gift from Santa McFabulous, beef tracheas from nothingadded.ca. These treats are great because the only thing in the bag is what it says on the front. You're not googling to see if carawaralalalapoo is ok for your dog to ingest. There are no grains, additives or preservatives and my dogs mowed them down like I never feed them. Available from the above website from $15 (Canaian money, eh?)

All My Paws,
Annie
